First Sports MedCon of India
The first med con was held on 18th December in Delhi by Rejoice Health foundation as a part of NRI festival 2022. It was a landmark event for the promotion of healthcare & Fitness for the general population, athletes, and para-athletes. Doctors from various specialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, gynecology, dentistry, dermatology, medical genetics ,Scientific Clinical Homeopathy etc delivered class apart lecture on the relevance of sports in their respective fields. At the event, Top athletes and specialist Doctors of sports Medicine were felicitated as well. One of them was Dr Amit Verma, having over 15 years of experience in cancer treatment and research. Being the first molecular oncologist of the country, Dr. Verma is the torch bearer for this emerging stream of medical speciality. He was awarded the ‘Best Physician in the field of Precision Oncology in India’ on that day. One of the most upcoming fields that’s catching the attention of all doctors and athletes is genomics and it’s importance for prevention and treatment of diseases.
Healthcare in our country has been undergoing a paradigm shift of being more personalised in nature to the patient’s needs rather than the traditional ‘one size fits all’ approach. This approach empowers the patient and offers multiple treatment options that are tailored treatment plan based on genomics and offer a strategy for prevention.
To step up the awareness and accessibility of genomics and related services, Dr Amit Verma founded Dr AV Healthcare Pvt Ltd to make healthcare more personalised and affordable to the common public. The institute specialises in various programs for precision oncology or personalised cancer medicine, wellness regimes, genetics diagnostics, prevention and research. One of the recently launched program is MeragenomeS+ which is a screening test that provides in-depth analysis of the core physical abilities. Each trait that is tested helps to identify strengths and weaknesses of the individual. Some of the key value take aways of the test is that it gives insights about injury susceptibility, response to injuries, sleep patterns and weight management.
This test is accompanied with pre and post test counselling making it a useful exercise for Athletes and common public for better fitness.
Also the attraction of the event was the role of Homeopathy in sports Medicine and injuries ,Dr Naval Kumar Verma who is organising chairman of the Sports MedCon and global president Rejoice Health Foundation he pioneered this idea of first integrated sports medicine conference gave a new light on how homeopathy can help heal injuries safely also he spoke about sports performance enhancer medicines available in homeopathy which can raise muscle power of athletes without any fear of dropping because homeopathy is all natural medicine.
Also he spoke about skin diseases of sports man can be treated well with homeopathy and genetic diseases can be managed with it effectively.
The event was a great success the Sports Mìnister Haryana Mr Sandeep Singh appreciated the efforts of organising team Dr Naval Kumar Verma and Dr Jujhar Singh and offered all help from Haryana government to establish a sports Medicine centre in Haryana
Dr Preeti Verma founder president of Rejoice Health Foundation is working to support Divyangjan in every possible way. Her priority is certification of disability for Divyangjan at home. Treatment of para athletes and athletes in specialised medical centre should be done.
